A young boy sent out to war...

No, not really, it's just my brother William. This was at a barberque at my grandparents' house in the summer. It started raining and he put the metal crisp bowl on his head (after the crisps had been eaten, mainly by me) and walked around pretending to be holding a gun.

I spent three hours on this in Photoshop, going over the original photo with the paintbrush, picking out the colours and painting them over the top. The face and hands were the hardest parts, with lots of blurring involved (ugh! D. This actually started out as just the lineart, but then I got carried away and went the whole hog.

I made this to go on his birthday card; he turned 11 on the 6th of October, and I always make birthday cards as a pose to buying them.

I hope you all like this, I spent sooo long on it! D= It's pretty much the best piece of artwork I've ever done, I am VERY proud of it.
